Resource Partner – Iowa Waste Reduction Centerpatrickluensmann

With over 350 public organizations spanning a vast array of services, it’s no wonder the Resource Navigator is a top choice for Iowa businesses when they need assistance. For March’s Resource Partner, we thought green – St. Patrick’s Day, spring is coming, Earth Day is around the corner. And one of the resource partners at the University of Northern Iowa fits the green topic very well – the Iowa Waste Reduction Center.
And throughout its almost three decades of existence, the IWRC has continually evolved to meet client needs. From developing an internationally-known virtual reality spray paint training simulator and a spray applicator training program used by the Department of Defense, to staff spending the past few years working throughout Iowa to reduce food waste and developing a new certification program aimed at helping Iowa’s craft breweries improve their environmental sustainability.
IWRC is almost like a jack of all trades when it comes to working with businesses and their environmental needs. Does your business need help understanding environmental regulations? Are there issues in your paint line that need improving? Or maybe you’d simply like to learn about what waste streams could be reduced throughout your facility. Whether you call to speak with one of the environmental specialists or check out their website for expansive regulatory information or to find a vendor, the IWRC has your back and it all centers around environmental sustainability.
