In this month’s update, IEDA Director Debi Durham takes a few moments to recognize the courageous men and women who faithfully serve our country and the importance of helping returning soldiers either find jobs when they return or help them launch an entrepreneurial career.
With close to 45% of returning veterans pursuing entrepreneurial opportunities, Durham explains how IEDA is helping Iowa veterans begin and maintain their entrepreneurial dreams.
In addition to the work and efforts provided by the IEDA staff, another resource available to veterans is a program called Home Base Iowa. A program designated to helping returning soldiers find jobs, explore career paths, and make a smooth transition into civilian life.
