UNI: More Than Just A University, It’s Your Resource for Business

When it comes to needing business resources, the first thought to your mind is probably not, “I should call UNI, ISU, or Iowa!” But, what if I told you that these three state universities may very likely be one of your best options? There are programs at each university ready to help you start and grow your business. That those programs are staffed by experts who have been providing business assistance for years and years. That many programs actually receive state or federal funding in order to provide services at little or no cost directly to you.

In this blog, we’re going to talk about the smallest of the three schools, the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, IA. Don’t let the size fool you though. UNI is home to Business and Community Services, a department that encompasses 12 individual programs that provide services and resources like entrepreneurial support, economic development, market research, strategic planning, environmental assistance, and even additive manufacturing and industry (what industry?) training for spray painters. Here is a sampling of the types of services and/or resources you can take advantage of from UNI’s Business and Community Services programs
