Iowa’s Largest Event for Startups and Entrepreneurs
Get ready for Iowa’s largest event for startups and entrepreneurs in Cedar Rapids.
On November 5th, 8 teams will have 6 minutes each to pitch their businesses and tell the community what they have been building over the 94 days in the Iowa Startup Accelerator program.
The teams in the 2015 cohort came to work in Cedar Rapids from all over Iowa and across the U.S., including Los Angeles, New York City, Boston, and Illinois.
These companies sell flowers, save piglets, build apps for golf courses, educate nannies and caregivers, promote music events, help nonprofits with strategic planning, enable riders to hail taxis from their phones, mobilize volunteers, and connect graduates to jobs.
Working in the Iowa Startup Accelerator gave the teams access to 140+ mentors and experts, financial and business model testing, marketing hell week, and hundreds of pitch clinics. Launch Day is the opportunity for communities across Cedar Rapids, the Creative Corridor, Iowa, and the Midwest to support and celebrate the progress the companies have made in the accelerator program.
