If you need entrepreneurial training in the state of Iowa - you've come to the right place. Master the startup process with our premier statewide Venture School, an innovative training program focused on real-world experimentation, customer discovery, and Lean LaunchPad methodologies. This program uses the official National Science Foundation I-Corps curriculum to help high-potential startups turn their ideas into reality.

Who is a good candidate?

Usually falls into three categories:

  • Pre-launch/pre-revenue: an early stage entrepreneur with a concept that is yet to be built or tested
  • Early stage: product is built and company has launched but is not meeting revenue goals
  • Existing small business: business is launched and operating but looking at a new opportunity. This could be product, channel, place, customer segment, etc


When does the program begin: Tuesday, Feb 18 and runs for 7 weeks, skipping March 17 for spring break. Sessions meet from 5:30PM – 9:00PM at Gravitate downtown Des Moines.


Fees: $299 per applicant, includes one team member. Each additional team member is $99, not to exceed $500 per team.


What is included in the fee: curriculum, instruction, mentoring, materials, food and facility.
