CYstarters
CYstarters is an 11-week summer accelerator for Iowa State students or recent graduates to focus on their startup or business idea. Students will receive $6,500 per individual or up to $13,000 for a student team. Cohort members spend their summer dedicated to achieving their startup goals and pursuing entrepreneurial aspirations.

What can you Expect?
- Learn and grow from educational sessions on topics ranging from customer discovery to marketing and entrepreneurial finance
- Opportunities to practice and refine your business pitch in front of the right audience to further your startup’s momentum
- Engage and network with the Ames entrepreneurial ecosystem through specially hosted netowrking events
- Weekly accountability meeting with Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship staff, advisers, and mentors
- Funding for your startup
- Collaborate and form life-long connections with cohort members
CYstarters is for:
- Currently- enrolled Iowa State University undergraduate or graduate students OR recent Iowa State graduates (graduating no less than 6 months prior to start of the summer accelerator)
- Students of any major or classification
- Students of any major or classification
- Part-time or full-time students at Iowa State University
- Individuals or student teams applying for their startup or business idea
