For Iowa native distilled spirits manufacturers. Allows native distillers to serve only the spirits manufactured on the licensed premises. Also allows carry-out sales of mixed drinks or cocktails. It does not allow sales by the drink of any other alcoholic beverage (i.e. wine or beer).

Who Applies
Iowa native distilled spirits manufacturers wishing to sell the native distilled spirits manufactured on the premises for on-premises consumption.
When To Apply
Before selling native distilled spirits for on-premises consumption.
Initial Requirements
Application requires proof of dramshop liability insurance, the endorsement of the local authority, and observance of local ordinances governing licensed establishments. Licensees must also obtain an Iowa Sales Tax Permit, an Iowa Food Establishment Permit, an Iowa Sunday Sales Privilege if beer and wine will be sold/served on Sunday, and a Federal Occupational Tax Permit. Applicant Qualifications: Applicant must be 21 years of age or older, an U.S. citizen and an Iowa resident or a registered corporation, having no felony convictions within the past 5 years, possessing "good moral character" as defined in the Iowa Code section 123.3(34) and good financial standing.
