Certificate that indicates a particular product is marketed in the United States or eligible for export. Certificates of Free Sale do not pertain to a particular production lot or export consignment. Food manufacturers must be licensed with the Department of Inspections and Appeals (DIA). Certificates are issued only for products regulated or inspected by DIA.

Who Applies Food manufacturers
When To Apply At least 10 business days before the certificate(s) are needed.
Initial Requirements Food manufacturers must be licensed with the Department of Inspections and Appeals (DIA). Certificates are issued only for products regulated or inspected by DIA.
Duration Once.
Processing Time 10 business days.
Fee Structure $35 for the first certificate and $10 for each additional identical certificate requested at the same time.
Renewal Requirements Does not apply.
Exam Does not apply.
Additional Information Payments must be processed before certificates are issued. Payments can be processed via credit card or check/money order.
