Succession Planning Steps

Lars Peterson & Dan Beenken: Advance Iowa
September 16, 2015 from Noon-1pm (central)
Webinar PowerPoint

danJoin us on Wednesday, September 16th at Noon as Advance Iowa lead consultants Lars Peterson and Dan Beenken share important steps to take now to ensure an easier transition in the future.

Having a successful succession plan for your business is all about starting early.  An outside buyer of your business is going to want to see that you have taken care to hire well and build out the processes critical to the longevity of your firm.  Granted, if you've just opened your doors, business succession is probably the furthest thing from your mind. That said, there are many portions of succession planning that are important for all businesses, regardless of their age.

What you'll learn about during this webinar:
  • Strategic Planning – Ensuring you have the people and processes in place to make a transition work
  • Cash Flow – Healthy cash flow is integral to any sale, we’ll help you get there.
  • Road Map – Starting early gives you more options when the time for exit comes around.  We focus on those early stage activities, building a plan, and working with you to move through it

Dan Beenken serves as the Program Director and Lead Consultant for Advance Iowa. He also serves as Director of the UNI Small Business Development Center.
