About
Osceola also offers beautiful parks: East Lake Park – east on Highway 34 that offers wonderful shelters for picnics, fishing, playground equipment, and the lookout tower. East Lake is also home to a pair of trumpeter swans (and offspring) that are a very popular attraction. We also have Q-Pond Park that has limited playground and shelters as well as walking trails. This park is located west of town on Clay Street.
The mission of the Main Street Iowa Program is to improve the social and economic well-being of Iowa’s communities by assisting selected communities to capitalize on the unique identity, assets and character of their historic commercial district. Main Street is economic development within the context of historic preservation.
