Iowa State University John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center (JPEC)

The Iowa State University Pappajohn Center serves student entrepreneurs in and outside the classroom and is a business development resource for techonology-based businesses. We also provide guidance for businesses seeking University resources

About

The ISU Pappajohn Center has assisted dozens of technology-based startups to launch and grow. We provide assistance in the areas of licensing, market assessment, business plan development, fundraising (equity, debt and grant) and operations. In addition, we can help businesses access our network of talented service providers such as attorneys and consultants, as well as industry professionals and the community of startups in and around the ISU Research Park and Central Iowa. Business development services are delivered in partnership with the Iowa State University Small Business Development Center (SBDC). In addition to business development services, the Center also plays a coordinating role in the delivery of entrepreneurship coursework and programs on the ISU campus, and also administers student entrepreneurship programs such as the Reiman Intern program which provides experienced-based learning opportunities to students through employment opportunities with Research Park tenants and affiliate companies. The Pappajohn Center is located in the ISU Research Park’s Economic Development Core Facility.
