Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service (Volunteer Iowa)
Help employers increase employee recruitment, retention, and engagement through volunteering; help nonprofits and governments increase capacity to meet missions.
About
Volunteer Iowa is a state agency whose mission is to improve lives, strengthen communities, and foster civic engagement through service and volunteering. Our Employer Volunteer Initiative and Give Back Iowa Challenge assist employers across the state to improve employee recruitment, retention, professional development, and engagement through employer supported volunteering. Our additional programs, trainings, resources, and grants support nonprofits, government organizations, and communities in capacity building and community engagement. Through National Service programs like AmeriCorps, coaching and training with Service Enterprise, and volunteer recognition opportunities including the Governor’s Volunteer Awards, we empower organizations to utilize service and volunteerism to meet their missions.
