About

The Decatur County Development Corporation (DCDC) is a non-profit, public/private partnership and we are committed to developing the local economy through the recruitment and retention of employers, promotion of tourism and recreation, and housing development. DCDC is a county wide economic development organization which serves as a resource for existing businesses, entrepreneurs, public service organizations, and community developers. The DCDC Executive Director serves on many boards throughout the county including chambers of commerce, city development organizations, and other nonprofit organization boards. This involvement on behalf of the organization allows DCDC to offer assistance as needed, and serve as a resource for services that may not otherwise be available in the county. At its heart, DCDC serves the residents of Decatur County. By encouraging growth of business within the county, tourism, affordable housing, community visioning, community beautification, and volunteerism, DCDC strives to ensure that Decatur County residents live a full life with amenities similar to those of larger cities, but with the comfort of a rural lifestyle.
