HNI Virtual Matchmaking and Networking Event

Wednesday, September 7 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm • Organized By Iowa State University's (ISU) Center for Industrial Research and Service (CIRAS)
Online Event

CIRAS is partnering with HNI Corporation (HNI) to offer this exclusive VIRTUAL MATCHMAKING and NETWORKING opportunity!

HNI Corporation is a publicly-traded business based in Muscatine, Iowa. They strongly believe in enhancing where their member-owners work, live, and gather. HNI is driven to be better community partners and better global citizens. With many brands, HNI is a strong player in several industries. Their primary industries are workplace furnishings and residential building products. Please see their website www.hnicorp.com for more information.

HNI is excited to learn more about potential suppliers in all areas. HNI, as a company, believes that diversity builds strength, both within our membership base and our supplier base. They are interested in finding potential suppliers for direct and indirect products and services and working to develop and grow relationships.

This matchmaking event will provide an opportunity for suppliers interested in connecting with a representative of HNI to learn what it takes to become part of the HNI supply chain. While all potential suppliers are encouraged to attend, this event will focus on HUBZone certification and eligibility.

Registered businesses will have an opportunity to connect directly with HNI during a 15-minute one-on-one matchmaking session. These brief sessions offer an opportunity for you to highlight capabilities and learn from HNI what they look for in a supply chain partner. (NOTE: focus for this event will be on the capabilities and products sought by HNI at this time. Not all businesses may be suitable for one-on-one sessions with HNI. However, opportunities exist for connecting with other businesses in the network.)

During the general session, attendees will hear from HNI about how it vets its vendors and how to be a better partner in the supply chain. CIRAS staff will highlight the federal government HUBZone program and lessons learned in supplier scouting activities.

There will also be an opportunity for suppliers to connect 1:1 to other suppliers and CIRAS staff.

How does it work?

  1. Once registration is complete, a listing of all participating companies will be emailed to registrants. *(By registering, you consent to have your information shared with other registered businesses.)
  2. Participants review the list and select and rank preferred matches (up to 10) using CIRAS' convenient online selection form.
  3. All appointments will be scheduled on a first-come, first-serve registration basis; organizers will try to accommodate all requests.
  4. Participants will receive their matchmaking schedules on or before August 30th.

The deadline to register is August 24th to accommodate the match facilitation process.
