Whether it's an update to your Facebook Feed, a fresh Instagram Story, or a new video on your YouTube Channel, navigating the specific media sizes for your social network is a step you don't want to miss. Today, we're here to answer one of your most frequently asked questions. If your small business has an increasing presence on social, you've come to the right place. 

So, does one size fit all?
Simply put, the answer is no. Each social platform is different. When uploading media, you'll need to be sure your content is a match. Check out our specs below:

Facebook Image Specs:

Profile Picture: 180 x 180 (Displays 170 x 170 on Desktop)Business Page
Profile Picture: 180 x 180 (Displays 170 x 170 on Desktop)Cover Photo: 820 x 312
Shared Image: 1,200 x 630
Highlighted Image: 1,200 x 717 (Recommended)Event Image: 1920 x 1080 (Recommended)

Twitter Image Specs:

Profile Photo: 400 x 400 (Displays 200 x 200)
Header Photo: 1,500 x 500
Recommended sizes for images by types of Tweets:
Image from a Tweet with shared link: 1200 x 628 pixels
Tweet sharing a single image: 1200 x 675 pixels
Tweet sharing two images: 700 x 800 pixels (both images)
Tweet sharing three images:
Left image: 700 x 800 pixels
Right images: 1200 x 686 pixels
Tweet sharing four images: 1200 x 600 pixels (per image)

Instagram Image Specs:

Pinterest Image Specs:

Profile Picture: 165 x 165
Pin Sizes: Pins on main page appear as 236 pixels (height is scaled).
Board Display: 222 x 150 pixels (large thumbnail); 55 x 55 (smaller thumbnail)

Youtube Specs:

Channel Profile Image: 800 x 800
Video Uploads: 1280 x 720 (Minimum HD)
Videos must maintain a 16:9 aspect ratio.
In order to qualify as full HD, your dimensions must be at least 1,280 x 720 pixels.

Tumblr Image Specs:

Profile Picture: 128 x 128
Image Posts: 500 x 750
Dash image sizes max at 1,280 x 1,920, and show in feeds at 500 x 750.
Images can’t exceed 10MB.
Animated GIFS must be under 3MB and max at 540 pixels (although some instances allow more width depending on GIF size).
