The event, sponsored by the Iowa Economic Development Authority, and is set for Wednesday, April 9 in Des Moines, Iowa at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center.

The i2iowa selection committee is comprised of Tej Dhawan, StartupCity Des Moines (Committee Chairman); Mike Colwell, Business Innovation Solutions; Josh Cramer, CramerDev; John LaMarche, VentureNet Iowa; Kevin Robinson, InfoDog Security; and Don Schoen, BettrLife.

The forum will showcase emerging companies from across the Midwest.  It will include morning education sessions to address legal issues surrounding investments and raising capital in light of recent SEC Rule and Regulation changes.  The afternoon will feature rapid-fire pitches to accredited investors and a parallel track consisting of Pitch and Grow – Fresh Look where Iowa entrepreneurs practice their pitches before a supportive “think tank” of industry experts.
