In this webinar, Adam Maska from the South Dakota Department of Revenue and Terry O'Neill with the Iowa Department of Revenue will provide an overview of common border tax issues as they pertain to sales and use tax.  A facilitated Q&A will follow the presentation.  Please see this page if you are planning to use this presentation for continuing education credits.

Adam has been with the South Dakota Department of Revenue since 2012.  Adam is a Field Territory Agent in the Yankton office that works with tax discovery, compliance, collections, sales tax and contractors excise tax licensing and reviews. Adam’s territory focus is Clay, Union, Turner and Hutchinson Counties in southeastern South Dakota including North Sioux City, and Dakota Dunes areas.  

Terry O'Neill, Iowa Department of RevenueTerry started with the Iowa Department of Revenue in 1987 as a summer intern working to find non-registered businesses. In the fall of 1987, he became a revenue agent, collecting past due taxes in the Davenport area. In 1990, he became a Taxpayer Service Specialist (TSS). As a TSS, he assists taxpayers by e-mail and phone on a wide variety of Iowa tax issues. In addition, Terry is a primary presenter for other educational outreach efforts of the Department, such as Webinars.  

Rob Williams of IASourceLink and the University of Northern Iowa will serve as moderator for this session.  This presentation is a partnership effort with the Iowa Department of Revenue, South Dakota Department of Revenue, and the University of Northern Iowa.
