Promoting Best Practices for Small Business Assistance

Promoting Best Practices for Small Business Assistance “Is there a small business resource provider that did a great job helping you start or grow your small business? Did their assistance make a key difference in helping you fulfill your small business dreams and goals? Does the resource provider’s service exemplify a “best practice” in how to effectively and efficiently assist an entrepreneur or small business? If so, consider letting them know about an opportunity for them to shine.

The Kauffman Foundation for Entrepreneurship is seeking to support the sharing of best practices by entrepreneur and small business assistance resource providers. IASourceLink is a proud affiliate of the USSourceLink family, the national network dedicated to entrepreneurs and small business advanced by Kauffman and the U.S. Small Business Administration. IASourceLink is committed to identifying and promoting best practices among Iowa resource provider organizations that facilitate the growth of entrepreneurs and small businesses across Iowa.

The best practice contest is open to any 501c3, 501c6 or government entity that assists startup and growth entrepreneurs and business and is affiliated with the U.S.SourceLink network. Your resource partner can find everything they need to know about the contest at Take 5 for Entrepreneurship Contest. The entry deadline is March 1, 2013. The entry receiving the most votes will split a $2,500 cash prize with IASourceLink, and we promise to put the prize towards continuing to advocate for small business!

We will feature the winning small business resource provider and your business in an upcoming IASourceLink newsletter this spring, and here on our website.

To ensure a fair playing ground, small business assistance programs delivered through (IEDA or MyEntre.Net at UNI) will not be submitting entries.
