Sales Tax Issues Related to Construction – Iowa & South Dakota

A frequent question to the Department is how to handle sales tax related to construction activities. Construction businesses that operate in multiple states may find it even more difficult to be fully aware of the rules regarding proper payment/collection of sales/use tax in each of those states. While some similarities exist between states, there are also a number of situations where states will have a differing treatment of certain transactions.

To assist those doing business in both Iowa and South Dakota, the Iowa Department of Revenue and the South Dakota Department of Revenue will jointly present the following free online webinar:

Iowa & South Dakota Sales/Use Tax Issues for Construction Contractors – October 21, 2015;
11:30 am to 1:00 pm (central time)

The Iowa Department of Revenue has partnered with the Center for Business Growth and Innovation at the University of Northern Iowa to provide free tax webinars to small business owners on IASourceLink.
